Through Erin's website www.epilepsyoutreach.org I am made more aware of this neurological condition that affects millions of Americans today, including Erin's son Emmett. It is with great pride that I am able bring this collection to you. My wish is that these designs will touch those living with Epilepsy, giving them a token to wear as a reminder to never let go of Hope.......... The American Epilepsy Outreach logo was selected to symbolize The Butterfly Effect. This concept refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that can ultimately alter the path of, delay, accelerate, or prevent a tornado from happening in a certain location. Thus, a butterfly's flapping wings represent a small change that can lead to a large scale result. The brain is delicate like a butterfly. Any subtle changes in the brain can cause chaos in the lives of those living with Epilepsy. It can affect everyone around them. We want the world to know the facts about Epilepsy, so that those living with the disorder will get the compassion and understanding they well deserve.
